Mercy Housing’s second modular affordable housing project, Tahanan, is located across from the Hall of Justice. The building is comprised of off-site factory modules, built at Factory OS on Mare Island.
The 145-unit development will provide permanent supportive housing for adults who have experienced homelessness and reflects the Filipino roots of the surrounding neighborhood. The name Tahanan, is a Tagalog word which means “coming home” or “return home”.
Our joint trench project managers worked closely with David Baker Architects and Mercy Housing to energize this fast-track project, owning the end-to-end experience of joint trench design delivery - proactively communicating and coordinating with agencies and team members throughout the process.
