So amazing to see the opening of the largest permanent supportive housing development in San Francisco at 1064 Mission Street last week. This project was years in the making and well-worth the effort. Co-developed by Mercy Housing California and Episcopal Community Services, 1064 Mission Street not only provides housing to formerly homeless individuals and seniors, but is also the site of the City's Homeless Services Center operated by the Department of Public Health and the Department of Homelessness and Supportive Housing which provides health services and resources to the broader community. 1064 also hosts ECS’ CHEFS (Conquering Homelessness through Employment in Food Service), a culinary training program for people experiencing extreme poverty or homelessness that provides meals to those in need. UDCE provided full civil engineering and joint trench/ dry utility services for this awesome project adjacent to the federal courthouse building.
