HUNTERS VIEW HOPE SF Ph II & III

SAN FRANCISCO, CA

Located in Bayview-Hunters Point, the original Hunters View was a 267-unit public housing project constructed as temporary workforce housing in 1956. Revitalization of Hunters View Phase II resulted in 179 units of affordable rental housing across 3 new buildings with new roads, sidewalks, and utilities, a park, and a community hub. Phase III will include 118 units of affordable rental housing, a new park, new roads, sidewalks, and utilities, and community-serving ground-floor space.

UDCE’s work was from conceptual, design, through construction support for joint trench utility and street lighting. Work included coordination with multiple Architecture and MEP teams while keeping PG&E, ATT, Comcast, SF Department of Technology backbone distribution designs coordinated. We worked closely with the Landscape Architect and the project Civil Engineer to create easements and a cohesive fit with the streetscape and park.
