Comprehensive civil engineering for the urban environment
Our registered civil engineers have decades of experience designing solutions for the most challenging urban sites - from $600M, LEED Gold, mixed-use towers to accessible school drop-offs. Our goal is to use our civil engineering experience and diligence to improve the performance of the whole project.
UDCE is fortunate to be able to apply our skills to so many truly meaningful projects. CIVIL ENGINEERING
We are civil engineering designers: intimately involved from project beginning - assessing site conditions, foreseeing obstacles, and designing solutions. We are project advocates - ready and able to adeptly navigate projects through approvals, permits and agency overlaps. We are communicators - dedicated to transparent, effective and positive communication strategies that propel our projects forward.
JOINT TRENCH
We approach coordination and design for utilities such as gas, electric, streetlights, phone and data as opportunities for creative problem-solving - not just a compilation of plans. We advocate for sound solutions on behalf of our client, reviewing contracts and tariffs, proactively communicating with agency staff, and using our experience to foresee and resolve existing condition conflicts in complex settings.
STORMWATER
UDCE frequently provides permanent and temporary Stormwater Management solutions to reduce and/ or treat site stormwater runoff for buildings, streetscapes and construction sites. We use our expertise and agency experience to lead the project team through the stormwater process, coordinating closely with landscape architects and project team engineers.
